Tips
The yield is closer to 12 cookies and not the stated 9 cookies.
The brown butter really does burn quickly, so keep stirring and keep a close eye on the butter as it browns.
The addition of ice cubes was not necessary when I made it.
The toffee is insanely good. I’d consider making a separate recipe where there’s no chocolate and the base sweetness was taken down a notch but there was double the toffee.
I used instant coffee instead of espresso powder.
The resting of the cookie dough is absolutely vital. Just let it hang out in the fridge, trust me. The difference in flavors melding is noticible.
Conclusion
I’ve made this recipe at least 2 times now and it’s so good every time. Highly recommend if you want to impress others or keep some damn good cookies on hand in your own home. Highly recommend UGH. SO GOOD!!
